![]() That was really our only gripe with our entire stay. Another factor.price! Our stay at the GT was about half of what it was at GWL & our accomodations at GT were at least twice as nice! I will say though that, despite the much cheaper room rates, GT does tend to nickel dime you for just about everything else (actually, a lot more than nickels and dimes!). ![]() Our kids admittedly liked the GWL waterpark a little bit more, but they still LOVED the GT waterpark and would have never know the difference had we not gone to both. GWL did indeed have a larger waterpark (and a large part of it is indoors if you want to get out of the searing heat), but it was so overcrowded that the wait times to go on slides, etc was pretty excessive. The GT waterpark was a big hit with our kids. At GWL.most of the staff just seemed annoyed to be there (then again, the place was so overcrowded and noisy, I'd imagine that it would get old with me pretty quickly too.). The staff (regardless of job title) always said hello, asked how we were doing, etc. Having now stayed at both places in the same week, I'll know better than to leave the Texan for Great Wolf again! First off, the level of service at the GT was outstanding. We had our kids (6 & 3) with us and decided to split time between the Gaylord Texan and Great Wolf (they're right across the street from each other), in order to give our kids plenty of fun activities. My family was recently in Grapevine for a conference that my wife was attending. Our kids admittedly liked the GWL waterpark a little bit more, but they still LOVED the GT waterpark and would have never know the difference had we not gone to both.Īnother factor.price!
